September 26, 2009: A day to remember. The start of a momentum. Crossing over many denominational, generational, and racial boundaries, the bride of Christ came together as one with this prayer on their hearts, “Lord, awaken PA to our destiny and may all the words that You have spoken over this state come into fruition so that the nations will know that you are Lord”.
After realizing the desires of William Penn, the founder of PA, and the many prophetic words spoken, PA Awake! was started to call God’s people to cry out for the purposes of God to be done. With the motto “Not just a moment, it’s a momentum”, this launching event on September 26, was filled with much worship and high praise. Throughout the day, we were also led in prayer by spiritual and governmental leaders like Lou Engle (Kansas City, MO), Senator Stewart Greenleaf, and many others. As our worship and prayer ascended on high the flood gates of heaven opened up and the rain and winds came. Definitely a picture of what God was doing in the spiritual realm, watering the seed of revival in our hearts so that it may grow. So with ponchos out and umbrellas raised high we continued to cry out for revival in our land. We believe that the Lord heard every prayer that we prayed even though the event was cut short because of the weather.
So the call goes out to all of us to awaken from our slumber so that we can pray and be a part of the revival that God wants to send to Pennsylvania. To learn more about upcoming events or the history log on to www.paawake.org. You can help bring Pennsylvania into all the purposes that God has.
2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land”

Angie, I didn’t know you were there! I was there with some of my sons. The rain may have cut short the day, but we prayed until after 4 pm despite it – took it as a token of God’s favor.
I wanted to post here that I had a vision that the pastor of the sponsoring church in Harrisburg allowed me to share. It happened during the first pre-event worship time a Monday evening at their church, two weeks before the event. I saw the heart of the Father come down into the Body of those worshippers who would receive it. From those receiving this living, beating heart, with tendrils projecting from it, the arteries spread out to the larger Body of Christ (in this case, pertaining to those crying out for revival in the churches and righteous government in Pennsylvania). The blood (covenant) that pumped through that heart was what called to life even the dry bones lying on the ground.
I mention it because at the PA Awake event, the vision kept returning as we worshipped and interceded that the Lord was using His heart (through those who would receive it) to awaken sleeping members. Like when your arm of leg “goes to sleep” because it has been inactive, sitting too long, etc., the blood must get into circulation again to awaken the limbs.
